I was excited to see you mention Marie Monsen! I don't think that she's that well known to most Christians. The Lord led me to one of her books once, in a secular used book store--what a gem! The title is A Present Help, subtitled: "How a Missionary experienced the good Hand of God", published by China Inland Mission in 1960. What an inspiring account of the Lord's provision and protection in China. I wasn't aware that she had written other books, and I only "discovered" her a few years ago.
I appreciate you sharing your list of books. Singing in the Fire sounds especially interesting to me. Thank you :-)
